The difference between food grade valves and ordinary valves?

1. Aseptic treatment

The most significant difference between food grade valves and ordinary valves is that food valves are designed for applications that require clean or sterile treatment.

Food valves are commonly used in dairy, food, pharmaceutical, medical and chemical applications. Standard features include easy cleaning, seamless and polished contact surfaces.

Common valves are linear motion valves that are typically used to start, stop, and regulate fluid flow in applications where "food grade" cleanliness is not required.

2.Manufacturing Standards

Strictly speaking, the manufacturing standards of food grade valves are very high. They are mainly developed for biological fermentation enterprises and have very high requirements for the smoothness of the valve channel.

Every part of the food valve that comes into contact with the fluid must be made of stainless steel - usually 304SS or 316 stainless steel. This material is non-toxic and harmless, the surface is clean and smooth, and does not cause corrosion and fall off. Food-grade valves have special treatment after manufacturing and processing, and have superior quality to industrial valves in terms of cleanliness and easy installation.

3. Usage environment

Food grade valves are used in highly hygienic environments such as medicine, food and daily necessities. Common valves bring precise control to industrial fluid transmission systems, providing diversion, media, regulation, backflow prevention, shunt, pressure relief and other functions. In the broad industrial world, there are already many different types of valves in use. As the performance of various technical equipment continues to improve, more and more valve changes are required every year.
